Rick Gage Crusade Draws 12,000 with 600 Decisions for Christ

By Dr. Mark Denison

Rick Gage and GO TELL Ministries came to West Georgia April 24-27 and saw 600 decisions made for Christ. The Taylor Memorial Stadium of Haralson High School in Tallapoosa was filled with praise, worship, and the bold preaching Rick is known for. In January church leaders from 28 participating churches gathered for the Kick-Off Banquet, and God showed up in a big way. Three months later, their work and prayers came to fruition with an unbelievable outpouring of God's Spirit that changed hundreds of lives for eternity.

Gage is quick to give God the glory. "To God be the glory for the great things he did through the West Georgia GO TELL Crusade," said he founder of GO TELL Ministries, based in Atlanta.

At the pre-crusade youth rally, where over 1,000 hot dogs were served, 200 students gathered in the high school gym. GO TELL youth evangelist Steve Paysen shared the gospel as the worship team from Victory Fellowship Church led the praise. Gage also spoke at seven ON TRACK school assemblies, with a total attendance of nearly 5,000. In each talk, Rick warned of the dangers of alcohol, drugs, sexual abuse, and bullying. Gage also addressed high school athletic teams in the area.

As he often does, Rick also took the gospel to the local jail, where 13 inmates received Christ. Each convert was given a Bible and a cross to wear around their necks.

Crusade Prayer Chairman John Lemmings, senior pastor of Corinth Baptist Church in Bremen, said, "West Georgia and East Alabama will never be the same. We have been praying for years for this kind of movement of God. Our prayers have been answered."
