What God is Doing
By Dr. Mark DenisonOne of the great blessings of leading a ministry like Revival in Our Time is the opportunity to follow the amazing work God is doing around the world. Let me share just a few examples from some of our partner ministries . . .
GO TELL
Rick Gage has completed two full weeks of summer student camps in Georgia. Featuring some of America’s most prominent speakers and worship leaders, the 31st year of Go Tell Camps welcomed nearly 1,500 campers from 60 churches in 11 states. More than 600 commitments were made to Jesus Christ and over 100 surrendered to Gospel ministry. Then, on the heels of these camps, Rick led a team of 30 men and women on a major mission trip to Costa Rica for seven days. They did street evangelism, local church outreach, and fed the poor.
SOUTHWESTERN SEMINARY
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary has recently called Dr. Adam Greenway as its new President. Now, longtime Texas pastor Chris Osborne has been added to the seminary faculty as professor of preaching and pastoral ministry, beginning January 1, 2020. Osborne has held multiple pastorates and convention leadership positions at the state and national levels. Since 1986, he has served as Pastor of Central Baptist Church in College Station, where membership has grown to over 3,000. Osborne has served as President of Southern Baptists of Texas and on the Executive Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention.
BILLY GRAHAM EVANGELISTIC ASSOCIATION
Will Graham represents the third generation of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association’s efforts in reaching the great cities of the world through major focused campaigns. Will Graham continues to preach in stadiums and other major venues to thousands through the Will Graham Celebrations. Upcoming events include: Tirana, Albania (August 30); Montana (September 6-15); Belleville, Ontario (October 4-6); Baker Lake, Nunavut (October 26-27).
THE HOPE CENTER
Home to dozens of international ministries, this Plano, Texas center offers much more than space for ministry headquarters. Under the leadership of Stan Keith, THC offers some of the most valuable resources and conferences in North Texas. Here are a few examples of coming events at The Hope Center: “Best Practices – Responding to Domestic Violence” (July 26); “Get Your Life Back” (August 23); and “Passport to Purpose” (September 17). Each of these events is open to the public and to church groups.
