Celebrating The Hope Center
By Dr. Mark Denison
The Hope Center is the best example of ministries working together I have ever known. It would be enough that they house 43 ministries – each with an extraordinary reach around the world – at half the price ministries would normally pay for space. It would be enough that The Hope Center offers amazing facilities for each ministry to make presentations and host events. But The Hope Center is much more than that
A quick review of just a few of the things that happened in 2017 will give you a better idea of the expansive ministry of The Hope Center, as she continues to fulfill her stated mission to “strengthen the impact of Christian ministries and transform lives in local neighborhoods and throughout the world.”
- February: THC launched a job link, posting 114 Kingdom related positions.
- September: The second annual Meet and Greet was held, welcoming 150 first-time guests to The Hope Center to tour the facilities and meet the staff.
- October: A screening of Same Kind of Different as Me, based on Ron Hall’s best-seller, was held.
- November: Gold Level Donors were taken to a sneak preview of the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C.
In addition to these – and dozens of other activities – The Hope Center won the Green Business Certification Award for the City of Plano, in recognition of its green initiatives. 2017 was a banner year for The Hope Center. If you want to see Kingdom work at its best, plan a visit there sometime. You can start by visiting their website at thehopecenter.org.
