Presentation on Human Trafficking
By Dr. Mark Denison - February 26th, 2019The Hope Center, based in Plano, Texas, is excited to announce a symposium on human trafficking, set for February 26 on their campus, at 2001 W. Plano Parkway. A part of their "Critical Conversations" series, this event will raise awareness of the problem and offer solutions to abolish human trafficking.
The two presenters will be Dr. Vanessa Bouche and George Lynch. Dr. Bouche is Associate Professor of Political Science at Texas Christian University. Her research is at the intersection of political psychology and public policy, with a particular focus on identity politics and human trafficking. She has been a co-principal investigator on several federally-funded projects from the U.S. Department of Justice and USAID, totaling over $800,000. She had developed datasets of human trafficking prosecutions in the United States at both the state and federal levels, and is the principal investigator of HumanTraffickingData.org.
George Lynch is a 30-year veteran brand builder. Coming from this career in developing consumer strategies, Lynch was named CEO of Traffick911 in 2014. Lynch had become aware of the horrors of global human trafficking in 2011, as he launched the signature social responsibility for Sabre, Passport to Freedom. His passion is to see lives saved through Traffick911, as youth are freed from sex trafficking in order to discovery God’s purpose for their lives.
