Samaritan's Purse

We have all heard of Samaritan's Purse, one of the world's great humanitarian organizations. Since founded by Bob Pierce in 1970, Samaritan's Purse has provided aid to those in need, as a key component of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

But there is more that you probably didn't know.

For example, Samaritan's Purse operates in over 100 countries around the world. The have offices in 20 of those countries.

These are just a few of the programs of Samaritan's Purse . . .
  1. Disaster Relief
    The organization responds to emergencies such as hurricanes or floods.

  2. World Medical Mission
    Founded in 1977 by brothers Dr. Richard Furman and Dr. Lowell Furman, this team enables doctors to serve short-term assignments at overwhelmed missionary hospitals.

  3. Children's Heart Project
    This initiative provides surgery for children born with heart defects in countries where proper care is not available.

  4. Turn on the Tap
    This is a campaign that provides safe drinking water in the undeveloped world.

  5. Operation Christmas Child
    Each November, thousands of churches, schools, and other groups begin the process of collecting millions of shoeboxes filled with aid for children around the world.
