Why You Should Have Will Graham in Your City

In 2010, we were thrilled to bring Will Graham to the Gainesville, Texas region for a “Will Graham Celebration.” The grandson of Billy Graham, Will has three Celebrations scheduled for 2018: Tri-Cities of Tennessee (April 27-29), Goldfields, Australia (May 18-20), and Central Scotland (June 15-17). These three-day events are huge evangelistic endeavors, preceded by detailed organization and prayer over a 12-month period.
The event in Gainesville, Texas was the single greatest mass evangelism effort in the area’s history. Over 50 churches worked together, and we saw over 500 come to Christ.

But first, let me lay out six reasons you should consider hosting a Celebration in 2019 or 2020.
First, there is an emphasis on prayer. The advance team organizes prayer teams from the churches in the community. These teams meet for prayer throughout the area for months leading up to the big event.
Second, your people will be trained to share their faith. The Christian Life and Witness classes teach participants to share their faith with their neighbors and friends.
Third, a plan for witnessing is organized. Christians put their learning into practice through “Bring a Friend.” Local church members are trained on how to invite the lost to the Celebration.
Fourth, spiritual renewal takes place. The process leading up to the Celebration brings renewal to the body of Christ. Training events are filled with uplifting worship.
Fifth, the Celebration stirs Christian unity. By working with believers from other churches, the body of Christ is strengthened.
Sixth, hundreds come to Christ. This is what it’s all about. Non-believers give their lives to Christ, and are then placed in local congregations, where each church disciples converts through materials provided by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
