Faith Comes By Hearing is an international 501 non-profit organization that records and freely provides the Bible in the languages of the world.
Now recognized as a global leader in recording and Oral Bible Translation technology, Faith Comes By Hearing had humble beginnings in the New Mexico desert in 1972. Jerry and Anet Jackson obeyed direction from the Lord by starting a ministry to "bring [His] Church together and make disciples." Then known as Hosanna, it started as a Christian cassette tape-lending library.
The Jacksons soon recognized the urgent need for people to hear Scripture in their own language as requests for recordings began to come from across the world. Since 70% of people live and learn in oral cultures and 50% cannot read at a functional level, the call for Audio Bibles in the languages of the world is great. Faith Comes By Hearing partners with the worldwide translation community and hundreds of other like-minded ministries to provide people access to the God's Word in a format they can understand. The shared mission, known as "Vision 2033," seeks to fulfill Christ's Great Commission by the year 2033. In partnership, Faith Comes By Hearing has released recordings of God's Work in approximately 1,800 languages and the number increases monthly!
